This role is focused on driving new business and sustainable growth across the public sector market. You will identify strategic opportunities, build strong partner and customer relationships, and develop a healthy pipeline of business. The position combines market intelligence, sales strategy, contract development, and long-term business planning. You will lead cooperative contract initiatives that expand sales-channel opportunities and enable scalable growth. The role requires close collaboration with account managers, resellers, internal teams, and senior leadership. You will help shape market positioning by identifying customer needs, competitive differentiators, emerging trends, and new partnership opportunities. This is a high-impact opportunity for a commercially driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced, technology-focused environment and enjoys building new markets from the ground up.

Prospect, research, identify, and pursue new business opportunities across assigned public sector segments and markets, developing strategic plans to grow and expand the opportunity pipeline. Lead the end-to-end process for building, qualifying, and establishing cooperative contracts that enable sales channels to pursue public sector opportunities effectively. Collaborate with business segment leadership to prioritize and close high-value client pursuits while developing short- and long-term strategies, sales objectives, targets, and budgets. Maintain accurate business development activity and pipeline information across relevant systems while expanding market reach through new partners, contracts, and resellers. Conduct outbound market research and analysis to identify potential partners that address specific market needs, segments, or price points and align with strategic objectives. Analyze market dynamics, competitors, industry developments, and emerging technologies to identify differentiators, refine value propositions, and uncover new business opportunities. Represent the organization at trade shows, conferences, and industry events to build relationships, strengthen market presence, establish thought leadership, and generate new opportunities. Serve as a subject matter expert for Partner Account Managers and resellers, sharing public sector market knowledge and supporting proposals, RFX processes, competitive analysis, and opportunity development. Partner with internal departments and leadership to shape strategic initiatives, provide market insights, and support broader global business development priorities. Requirements 5–8 years of experience in sales, business development, customer development, account management, or a comparable commercial role, with a proven track record of developing new sales and customer accounts. Experience building and executing business development strategies, identifying new opportunities, managing pipelines, and developing sustainable customer and partner relationships. Experience in the telematics industry is considered an asset, along with a strong ability to understand technical and business requirements and translate customer needs into viable solutions. Strong relationship management, negotiation, diplomacy, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to establish credibility and influence stakeholders across different levels and functions. Strong project management capabilities, including the ability to identify needs, develop effective solutions, coordinate stakeholders, and manage initiatives through successful completion. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with sound commercial judgment and the ability to make well-informed decisions based on market, customer, and competitive insights. Entrepreneurial mindset with the curiosity and adaptability to stay current with evolving technologies, industry trends, competitive landscapes, and changing public sector market demands. Strong technical proficiency with business productivity tools such as Google Sheets, Docs, and Slides, as well as CRM platforms such as Salesforce. Willingness and ability to travel internationally and domestically up to 50%, including attendance at trade shows, conferences, and customer or partner meetings, with a valid passport. Benefits On-Target Earnings (OTE) range of $160,000–$210,000 USD annually , consisting of base salary and commission/incentive compensation.
