About the Role
The Candidate Sourcing Specialist – Construction & Engineering (U.S. Market) is responsible for identifying, engaging, and qualifying candidates for construction and engineering roles supporting hiring needs in the United States. This role focuses on proactive sourcing activities, initial candidate outreach, and preliminary screening to ensure alignment with role requirements and U.S. market standards.
The ideal candidate understands U.S. hiring standards, job titles, certifications, and candidate expectations, while operating effectively from India or Pakistan in alignment with U.S. time zones.
This role does not involve final hiring decisions and functions as a sourcing and pipeline development position in support of U.S. recruitment operations.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Talent Sourcing & Research
- Proactively source candidates for construction and engineering roles such as Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Field Engineers, Surveyors, Superintendents, Estimators, etc.
- Use platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, ATS systems, and Boolean search techniques
- Build and maintain strong talent pipelines for current and future U.S. openings
Candidate Engagement
- Conduct initial outreach via email, LinkedIn, and other sourcing tools
- Screen candidates for skills, experience, availability, and interest
- Assess candidate fit based on U.S. market expectations and role requirements
- Maintain a positive candidate experience through timely and professional communication
Collaboration & Reporting
- Work closely with U.S.-based recruiters and hiring managers
- Provide regular sourcing updates, pipeline reports, and market insights
- Support recruiters by delivering shortlists of pre-qualified candidates
- Maintain accurate documentation in the ATS or recruiting CRM
Market & Process Expertise
- Stay informed on U.S. construction and engineering labor markets
- Maintain practical understanding of common U.S. certifications, licenses, and compliance considerations
Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Continuously improve sourcing strategies based on performance metrics
- Perform other related tasks and duties as assigned, consistent with the scope and level of the role
- Provide additional sourcing or recruitment support during peak hiring periods or special projects
- Assist with process improvements, documentation, or reporting as requested by the recruiting team
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, data privacy requirements, and confidentiality standards
- Adapt responsibilities as business needs evolve while maintaining primary role focus on candidate sourcing
- Perform other related tasks and duties as assigned, consistent with the scope and level of the role
Required Qualifications
- 2–5+ years of candidate sourcing experience in construction and/or engineering
- Proven experience supporting U.S.-based hiring
- Strong knowledge of construction and engineering job roles, terminology, and career paths
- Hands-on experience with LinkedIn Recruiter and advanced Boolean searches
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to work overlapping U.S. business hours
- Self-starter with high attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with staffing agencies or RPOs serving the U.S.
- Familiarity with ATS platforms (e.g., Bullhorn, Greenhouse, Lever, iCIMS)
- Background sourcing for large-scale construction projects or EPC firms
