The Brazilian national scholarship remains in force during the mobility period.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants must be doctoral candidates in Brazil holding an eligible national scholarship from CAPES or a participating State Research Support Foundation (FAP). CAPES states that candidates need an acceptance letter from the German host institution and proof of the language proficiency required by the host, in German or English. Programme-specific DAAD requirements and participating-FAP rules also apply.

- Confirm funding duration, stipend/salary, tuition coverage, start date and eligibility for international applicants.
- Contact a supervisor before applying only when the official instructions recommend or require it.
