Astor & Sanders Corporation (Astor) is an award-winning IT solutions provider headquartered in McLean, VA and is seeking a Capture Manager. This is a full-time and hybrid position in McLean, VA.
The Capture Manager is responsible for leading and executing capture activities for federal government contracting opportunities from opportunity identification through proposal submission. This individual develops and implements win strategies, manages customer and partner engagement, coordinates internal resources, and ensures the company is positioned to successfully pursue and win new business.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead full lifecycle Capture Manager efforts including early-stage opportunity qualification, strategy development, and pursue and engage directly with government stakeholders and program offices.
- Analyze agency forecasts, procurement notices, budget documents, and recompete opportunities.
- Ability to understand the customer’s budget constraints, evaluation priorities, and incumbent weaknesses.
- Work closely with Business Development team to align strategic goals and objectives
- Develop and maintain Price-to-Win (PTW) and competitive positioning assessments.
- Build relationships with government stakeholders and identify, recruit, and manage teaming partners and subcontractors.
- Identify and define win themes, discriminators, and assist in developing bid strategies
- Coordinate with technical teams and subject matter experts to create compelling proposals that meet client needs
- Maintain and manage relationships with key stakeholders within target agencies, potential partners, and vendors
- Conduct extensive market research to identify trends and competitive landscape within the federal space
- Prepare and deliver executive presentations and executive briefs to senior leadership and clients
- Attend key conferences, events, meetings, trainings, and other strategic events as needed
- Additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience as a Capture Manager leading successful pursuits for federal government contracts
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, IT, or a related field is required; or additional experience in lieu of degree
- Proven track record of winning federal contracts within the federal government technology sector and established strong client relationships within civilian agencies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to engage effectively with senior leadership, federal clients, partners, vendors, and staff
- Familiarity with CRM tools and capture management software
- Ability to maintain and create detailed documentation leveraging the Microsoft tool Suite
- Strong analytical and research skills required, and attention to detail
- Proactive, resourceful, and able to work independently
The anticipated salary range for this position is $130,000-$160,000 annually. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, candidate skills and education, geographical location, certifications, and business needs, as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position and could fall outside of this range. This salary range represents Astor's good-faith estimate of compensation for the position at the time of posting.
