To learn more about Compeer Financial visit  www.compeer.com/careers .  This temporary position will work part-time January - April, and is  located out of Fond du Lac, WI office location .  The contributions you will make:   This position performs tax return preparation services for clients. Manages the delivery of tax and accounting products and services. A typical day:   Prepares income tax returns for individual, partnership and corporate clients. Prepares payroll tax, 1099, W2 and related forms and reports. Provides technical tax and accounting expertise to team members and clients when questions arise. The skills and experience we prefer you have:   Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job. 3+ years of experience in tax return preparation. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification required. Knowledge of federal and state laws, regulations and compliance requirements specific to the financial industry and Farm Credit. Experience in planning and preparation of farm taxes preferred. Exercises a high level of ethical and professional judgement. Problem solving, decision making and organizational skills. Computer skills, including MS Office applications and tax and accounting software. Analytical skills with attention to detail. How we will take care of you: Actual hourly rate offered is dependent upon year in school, work experience, transferable skills, business needs and market demands. The hourly rate range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
