A 4–12 month CERN technical studentship in applied physics, ideally starting 1 April 2027, with a CHF 3,486 monthly net allowance.
Complete internship details
Technical students support applied-physics projects such as instrumentation, sensors, data acquisition and radiation measurements while learning from CERN scientists, engineers and technicians. The programme is fully onsite and includes 30 days of paid leave per year plus CERN's annual closure, health-insurance coverage, and circumstance-dependent family and travel support.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants must be nationals of a CERN Member or Associate Member State, have completed at least 18 months of relevant studies, remain enrolled full-time during the studentship, and know English or French. CERN currently says it cannot consider Pakistani, Lithuanian, Latvian, Cypriot or Croatian nationals because applicable Associate Membership ceilings have been reached. PhD students and holders are not eligible.
