Students learn from engineers, technicians and scientists while contributing to design, analysis, surveying or construction-related work. The programme provides a CHF 3,486 monthly net allowance, paid leave and CERN health-insurance coverage; family supplement and travel support depend on individual circumstances.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants must be nationals of a CERN Member State or Associate Member State, have completed at least 18 months of relevant studies by selection, remain enrolled full-time during the studentship, and have good knowledge of English or French. PhD students and PhD holders are not eligible. CERN currently states that applications cannot be considered from Pakistani, Lithuanian, Latvian, Cypriot and Croatian nationals because the applicable Associate Membership ceiling has been reached.
