The 2027-1 IT, Mathematics & Robotics Technical Studentship has an ideal start date of 1 April 2027. Students can contribute to software development, computing infrastructure, robotics and related technical projects. CERN lists a CHF 3,486 monthly net allowance, paid leave, health-insurance coverage under programme rules and possible family/travel support.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants must be nationals of an eligible CERN Member or Associate Member State, have completed at least 18 months/three semesters in the relevant field, have good knowledge of English or French and remain enrolled full-time during the studentship. PhD students and PhD holders are not eligible. CERN currently states that applications from Pakistani, Lithuanian, Latvian, Cypriot and Croatian nationals cannot be considered because the applicable Associate Membership ceiling has been reached.
