Libyan mid-career professionals and academics can apply for a five-month Chevening fellowship at the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies to conduct self-directed research on the culture and civilisation of Islam and contemporary Muslim societies.

Six fellows are expected to undertake their own research projects at the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies. Applications should include a short research proposal with a main research question and planned approach. The selection process includes an initial interview with British embassies or high commissions followed by a final interview with OCIS representatives for shortlisted candidates.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants must be citizens of Libya and resident in Libya at the point of application, meet Chevening's standard fellowship eligibility, hold a postgraduate-level qualification or equivalent relevant professional training/experience, and have at least five years of significant professional and/or academic research experience.
