UNICEF Malaysia is recruiting a fixed-term P-4 Chief of Child Protection in Kuala Lumpur to lead child-protection strategy, programmes and partnerships.
Full job description
The Chief provides strategic leadership and technical oversight for planning, implementation and monitoring of child-protection programmes; builds partnerships with government, civil society, UN agencies and business; supports implementation of CRC concluding observations; and helps influence national policy and strengthen child-protection systems.
Requirements & qualifications
Requires an advanced university degree in international development, psychology, sociology, international law, social science, human rights or a related field; at least eight years of relevant experience in child protection, development, human rights, research, partnerships or related areas; strong leadership and interpersonal skills; and fluency in English. Another UN or local language is desirable. As an international professional position, appointment is subject to host-country visa requirements and UNICEF states that required IP visas are facilitated.
