The manager reports to the Chief, Child Protection and supports programme development and planning, management and delivery of results, technical and operational implementation support, partnerships, innovation, knowledge management and capacity building. The position is based on-site in Kyiv, with possible relocation within Ukraine depending on security conditions and advice.
Requirements & qualifications
Requires an advanced university degree in International Development, Psychology, Sociology, Human Rights, International Law, Social Sciences or a related field, plus at least 8 years of relevant experience in child protection, social-development planning or child-protection management. Fluent English is required; another UN or local language is desirable. UNICEF lists child-rights advocacy, protection-systems strengthening, programme planning, partnerships, and humanitarian child-protection monitoring and evaluation among the required skills.
