The Churchill Fellowship’s 2027 round opens on 1 September 2026 for UK citizens aged 18 or over who want to learn from international practice and use those insights to create practical change in the UK.

The Fellowship funds 4–8 weeks of learning overseas or online. The grant covers learning-related living and travel costs and can also cover interpreters, visas, vaccinations and support workers where needed. The current round closes at midday UK time on 20 October 2026, with Fellowships starting from 1 August 2027.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants must be UK citizens with proof of citizenship, be living in the UK, and be aged 18 or over when applying (or turn 18 by the end of the year). Projects must require learning from other countries and offer practical benefit to a UK community or sector. No formal qualification is required.
