Clinical Implementation Specialist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Clinical Implementation Specialist based in United States. This role combines clinical expertise, implementation strategy, healthcare education, and emerging AI technologies to support the safe and effective adoption of an ambient clinical documentation platform. You will work directly with clinicians across federal and commercial healthcare environments, helping them onboard, adopt, and confidently use AI-supported documentation tools. The position blends hands-on coaching with strategic implementation work, including service recovery, workflow assessment, and clinical quality improvement. You will also help evaluate clinician-reported issues, identify root causes, and recommend prompt or workflow changes that improve documentation quality. Working closely with Product, Engineering, Customer Delivery, and clinical champions, you will turn frontline insights into scalable solutions. The role is ideal for a clinically experienced professional who is comfortable moving between training sessions, technical discussions, and real-time customer support. The position is remote within the United States, with approximately 20–30% travel to federal and commercial sites.

Onboarding, training, and coaching: Conduct live virtual training for clinicians across specialties and healthcare settings, lead office hours and recurring Q&A sessions, provide individualized onboarding and coaching, and deliver train-the-trainer sessions for Site Points of Contact and Clinical Champions. Training materials and education: Develop and continuously maintain clinical training curricula, job aids, specialty-specific resources, self-paced materials, and release communications for new features and product changes. Clinical champion network: Identify, recruit, and develop Clinical Champions based on adoption data and field relationships, while facilitating an active community of practice that supports peer learning and surfaces adoption challenges early. Implementation strategy and service recovery: Develop implementation plans for new and scaling sites, assess clinical workflows and integration opportunities, and lead targeted recovery efforts for sites experiencing adoption difficulties or negative early experiences. Implementation improvement: Identify recurring implementation patterns, document successful interventions and failure modes, and continuously improve the implementation playbook so future deployments can benefit from lessons learned. AI prompt judgment and clinical quality: Build a deep understanding of how AI-generated documentation, prompts, and templates influence clinical outputs. Analyze clinician-reported errors and concerns to distinguish workflow issues, prompt issues, and potential model limitations. Clinical safety and quality: Recommend and support prompt changes grounded in clinical judgment, safety, and documentation quality standards; immediately escalate patient safety concerns according to established protocols; and contribute to clinical quality scoring and documentation audit activities. Engineering partnership: Work directly with technical product and engineering teams to resolve live customer issues, translate clinician feedback into actionable technical problem statements, and contribute frontline insights to longer-term product and feature decisions. Requirements: Clinical background: Active clinical license as an RN, NP, PA, PharmD, or equivalent, with at least 5 years of direct patient care experience and a strong understanding of clinical documentation, EHR workflows, medical decision-making, HIPAA, medical-legal standards, and healthcare quality requirements. Implementation and informatics: Experience with implementation science frameworks such as RE-AIM or CFIR, or comparable structured approaches to adoption and change management. Strong root-cause analysis skills using approaches such as 5 Whys, fishbone analysis, or equivalent methods. AI and clinical technology: Direct or adjacent experience with AI/NLP prompt design, prompt evaluation, clinical documentation improvement, speech recognition, or related technologies, with the ability to reason about how prompt or workflow changes may affect reported clinical issues. Data-driven decision making: Comfortable using product analytics and dashboards to identify adoption patterns, recurring problems, and opportunities for improvement rather than relying solely on individual anecdotes. Training and education: At least 3 years of experience developing and delivering clinical education or healthcare IT training, including the ability to build curricula and measure impact through indicators such as retention, behavior change, and time-to-activation. Presentation and communication: Experience delivering virtual training to groups ranging from small teams to 100+ participants, adapting communication to different specialties, audiences, and levels of technical proficiency. Clinical judgment and collaboration: Exceptional verbal and written communication, strong relationship-building skills, and the credibility to advocate for clinical needs in technical discussions while maintaining sound ethical and clinical judgment under pressure. Adaptability and ownership: Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, taking ownership of work without clearly defined boundaries, and moving fluidly between strategic planning, executive briefings, frontline coaching, and support activities. Cross-functional mindset: Collaborative approach to working with Engineering, Product, Customer Delivery, Implementation, Customer Support, Site POCs, and Clinical Champions, with a preference for bringing relevant stakeholders into problem-solving early. Preferred qualifications: A master's degree in Nursing, Health Administration, Public Health, Medical Education, Clinical Informatics, or a related field; experience with ambient AI, clinical documentation improvement, or speech recognition; startup or high-growth experience; VA clinical experience combined with commercial health system experience; and familiarity with Section 508 accessibility compliance.
