About the RoleProvide expert clinical pharmacy support within community health services,Work closely with primary care and multidisciplinary teams to optimise the safe and effective use of medicines.Focus on delivering patient-centred medication reviews, improving health outcomes, supporting evidence-based prescribing,Lead quality improvement initiatives, education, and best-practice guidance across community services.Deliver expert medicines management and clinical reviews that directly improve patient outcomesWork autonomously across primary care and community teams while leading quality improvement initiatives and influencing best practice About usTimaru is a special coastal port city in South Canterbury, famous for Caroline Bay's stunning beach, striking Edwardian bluestone architecture, and unique rolling hills formed by an ancient volcano. The hospital provides secondary services to the district population of approximately 50,000 people, has 130 beds. About YouRegistered as a Pharmacist with the Pharmacy Council of New Zealand holding a valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC) with no restrictions.Holds a relevant clinical post-graduate qualification or is working towards this, or has work experience sufficient to demonstrate general pharmaceutical knowledge in core areas and/or specialist pharmaceutical knowledge in management of long-term conditions.Experience in implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in action.NZ driver licencePromotion of the quality and safe use of medicines.Critical appraisal skills and provision of medicine information.Experience and ability to build, develop, and maintain professional relationships within the health sector.
