This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Cloud Engineer Sênior | IaC based in Brazil. This is a senior cloud engineering opportunity focused on evolving Infrastructure as Code into a secure, scalable, and developer-friendly platform capability. You will shape IaC architecture, establish reusable infrastructure components, and build automation that reduces manual work and configuration drift. The role combines cloud architecture, software engineering practices, security, compliance, and platform engineering. You will help create self-service experiences that make infrastructure easier and safer for development teams to consume. Collaboration with Cloud, DevOps, Security, Architecture, and Software Engineering teams will be central to your impact. The position offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to influence technical standards across a growing internal Cloud Platform. It is ideal for someone who thinks beyond infrastructure code and views platform capabilities as a product for internal users.

Evolve Infrastructure as Code architecture, standards, patterns, and engineering practices, ensuring solutions remain secure, scalable, maintainable, and reusable. Design, develop, and maintain reusable infrastructure modules and abstractions that simplify and standardize cloud provisioning across teams. Define module versioning, testing, lifecycle management, and governance practices to improve reliability and consistency. Build and maintain secure IaC pipelines, incorporating appropriate controls for state management, locking, secrets, environment segregation, and deployment workflows. Develop mechanisms that minimize manual configuration and prevent or detect infrastructure drift across cloud environments. Implement infrastructure guardrails and policies while embedding security, compliance, and governance requirements directly into provisioning processes. Create self-service infrastructure experiences and abstractions that enable development teams to consume platform capabilities efficiently and independently. Partner with infrastructure consumers to understand their most important journeys, recurring challenges, and requirements, translating them into scalable platform solutions. Contribute to the development of infrastructure service catalogs, reusable standards, and the broader evolution of the internal Cloud Platform architecture. Identify opportunities to transform recurring operational needs into automated, standardized, and product-oriented platform capabilities. Requirements: Strong professional experience in Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure as Code, Platform Engineering, or closely related disciplines, with a senior-level understanding of cloud architecture and automation. Hands-on expertise with Terraform or OpenTofu, including the development and management of reusable infrastructure modules and abstractions. Solid experience with Git, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation workflows, including practical knowledge of Atlantis. Experience with Ansible and/or Semaphore, along with a strong understanding of software engineering principles applied to infrastructure. Knowledge of cloud architecture, infrastructure lifecycle management, automation, security controls, and scalable provisioning patterns. Strong understanding of state management, locking, secrets management, environment segregation, infrastructure drift, and infrastructure governance. Ability to analyze problems before automating them, favoring simple, scalable, maintainable, and reusable solutions over unnecessary complexity. Strong systems thinking, autonomy, accountability, critical thinking, and pragmatism, combined with excellent communication and technical influence skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with Cloud, DevOps, Security, Architecture, and Software Development teams and translate technical needs into practical platform solutions. A product-oriented mindset, viewing Infrastructure as Code as part of the developer experience rather than solely as infrastructure implementation. Terraform certifications such as HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate, or equivalent credentials, are a plus. Cloud certifications across AWS, Azure, Huawei Cloud, or similar platforms, as well as DevOps or Platform Engineering certifications, are desirable. Experience with Platform Engineering, developer self-service platforms, Terraform abstractions, IaC pipelines, and Kubernetes is advantageous. Experience building AI agents for operations, observability, or software engineering is an additional differentiator.
