Overview
Collegium Helveticum is accepting Senior Fellowship applications from eligible academic guests, visiting professors and artists in residence at ETH Zurich, UZH or ZHdK, with the next review deadline on 10 December 2026.
Complete fellowship details
Senior Fellows spend three to ten months at the Collegium alongside an existing visiting appointment at one of its three supporting institutions. Fellows contribute to cross-disciplinary academic life and convene an event. From 1 September 2026, financial support is CHF 1,400 per month for each regular workday per week spent at the Collegium; Thursday attendance is mandatory and the contribution is not paid for July or August.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants must hold an academic-guest, visiting-professor or artist-in-residence affiliation at ETH Zurich, the University of Zurich or Zurich University of the Arts for the full fellowship period. Applicants are usually tenured or tenure-track faculty, with exceptional alternatives possible for internationally established academic or artistic practice. An associate fellow at a supporting institution is required.
Tips for this fellowship
Practical Job and Scholarship guidance. These tips do not replace official rules or create new eligibility requirements.
- Check eligibility, funding coverage, study/project level and every required document before investing time in the application.
- Prepare transcripts, references, language tests, proposal/motivation statement and proof documents early.
- Separate the scholarship deadline from any university/program admission deadline; they may be different.
- Treat “fully funded” as a source fact only when the official provider explicitly confirms the covered costs.
Verification notes
Verified from the current official Senior Fellowship page. Applications can be submitted at any time and are reviewed twice yearly; the next stated deadline is 10 December 2026, corresponding to an earliest start of 1 February 2027. No deadline time is stated.
Job and Scholarship is the discovery and verification layer. Confirm eligibility, dates, salary/funding and application instructions on the original source before submitting anything.
