The Commonwealth Scholarship Commission expects around 180 Shared Scholarships for 2027/28. Candidate applications are scheduled to open in early November 2026 and close in mid-December 2026, with exact dates to be published later. The scheme covers approved tuition, return airfare and living support through the CSC and participating universities.
Eligibility requirements
Candidates must meet the 2027/28 Commonwealth Shared Scholarship criteria, including citizenship or eligible status and permanent residence in an eligible Commonwealth country, appropriate first-degree qualifications, inability to afford UK study without the award, and availability to begin study in September/October 2027. Additional programme and university conditions apply.
