About the Role  Hark is an artificial intelligence company building advanced, personalized intelligence. We are pairing that intelligence with next-generation hardware to create a universal interface between humans and machines. Rather than focusing on a single layer of the AI stack, we are building foundation models, software systems, and native hardware together from the start. Responsibilities End-to-End Certification: Lead global carrier and regulatory certification programs (including FCC, ISED, CE RED, UKCA, PTCRB, and GCF) from early product definition through commercial launch. Regulatory Compliance: Manage launch readiness for wireless, safety, EMC, RF exposure, SAR/MPE, and country-specific type approvals. Strategic Partner Engagement: Build and manage technical relationships with global mobile carriers, test labs, certification bodies, and chipset vendors to understand test plans and drive lab/field testing. Cross-Functional Execution: Partner closely with hardware, software, RF, modem, QA, and product teams to triage testing issues, close certification blockers, and ensure commercial launch readiness. Market Expansion: Translate operator requirements (4G/5G, VoLTE, eSIM, carrier aggregation, roaming) into product roadmaps and engineering execution plans to support entry into new markets. Process Scaling: Establish repeatable processes, compliance matrices, risk-tracking frameworks, and executive dashboards to manage complex certification schedules across multiple products simultaneously. Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, CS, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience). Experience: 8+ years in technical program management, carrier/regulatory certification, or wireless engineering. Product Expertise: Proven track record of successfully launching connected consumer electronics, IoT devices, wearables, or other carrier-connected hardware globally. Technical Fluency: Deep understanding of wireless technologies (4G LTE, 5G NSA/SA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GNSS) and network interoperability. Communication & Leadership: Exceptional ability to distill complex technical risks for executive reporting, influence teams without formal authority, and hold external partners accountable in ambiguous environments. Compensation The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $120,000 - $300,000 annually. The pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include additional components/benefits depending on the specific role. This information will be shared if an employment offer is extended.
