Deadline Date: August 24, 2026
Screen Territory is inviting applications for the Conceptual Development Games Grant to support the early-stage development of innovative digital games through the creation of micro-prototypes in the Northern Territory.
The program focuses on conceptual game development, micro-prototype creation, innovative game mechanics, digital games, gameplay innovation, audience engagement, market potential, early-stage game development, interactive digital media, and game industry development.
The program aims to strengthen the Northern Territory’s digital games industry by supporting creative experimentation, fostering innovation, and helping local developers build competitive and commercially viable game projects.
The Conceptual Development Games Grant is designed to encourage innovation within the Northern Territory’s digital games sector by helping local developers explore new gameplay ideas and creative concepts. The initiative supports experimentation with game mechanics and provides an opportunity for developers to assess audience interest and commercial potential before progressing to larger-scale production.
Applicants may apply for funding of up to AUD 5,000 per project to develop micro-prototypes that demonstrate innovative gameplay concepts and highlight their potential for audience engagement or market success. The funding is intended to assist developers during the conceptual phase, enabling them to test, refine, and validate ideas before advancing to more comprehensive stages of game development.

Tips for this grant
Practical Job and Scholarship guidance. These tips do not replace official rules or create new eligibility requirements.
- Check eligibility, funding coverage, study/project level and every required document before investing time in the application.
- Prepare transcripts, references, language tests, proposal/motivation statement and proof documents early.
- Separate the scholarship deadline from any university/program admission deadline; they may be different.
- Treat “fully funded” as a source fact only when the official provider explicitly confirms the covered costs.
