About the Team/Service/ LocationThe busy service provides over 3,000 endoscopy procedures per year and approximately 2,000 outpatient appointments. The team currently comprises three gastroenterologists, and a team of nurses lead by two registered nurses with extensive gastroenterology outpatient, and endoscopy experience. We have a very active and involved group of medical and surgical specialists here and a very collegial atmosphere exists. Ruakopito is our newly built start of the art facility, on the campus in Hastings that means all our patient-based gastroenterology services are housed in one place providing 2 procedure rooms, patient recovery, resource and administration areas, clinic spaces and meeting rooms.
