Overview
WHO's Regional Office for Africa is recruiting a home-based consultant to strengthen health-expenditure tracking and sexual and reproductive health and rights financing analysis across the African Region.
Full job description
The assignment supports refinement of System of Health Accounts (SHA 2011) methods for SRHR expenditure tracking, pilot-country technical support, management and analysis of National Health Accounts datasets, analytical briefs and regional evidence products. WHO states the work is off-site/home based with no travel expected. The vacancy page contains a duration inconsistency: the header states three months while the detailed section states an expected four-month contract, so this record does not normalize the duration to a single unsupported value.
Requirements & qualifications
An advanced university degree in health economics, economics, public health, health financing, statistics, epidemiology, development economics or a relevant field is essential. WHO lists at least seven years of progressively responsible relevant experience, demonstrated SHA 2011/National Health Accounts experience, quantitative analysis capability and expert English; French and/or Portuguese is desirable.
