The Role Are you obsessed with internet culture? Do you love turning trending moments into something people can’t stop reading about? BuzzFeed’s India team is looking for curious, internet-savvy writers to craft engaging, entertaining, and shareable stories for our US audience. If you have a keen eye for pop culture moments, a sharp sense of humor, and know how to make people click , this role is for you. What you'll do Pitch and write engaging listicles, quizzes, and feature stories across pop culture, entertainment, and lifestyle, centred around the US audience. Turn trending conversations and niche topics into compelling, high-performing content. Work with the editor to refine content, optimize headlines, and package stories for maximum impact.  Take ownership of your ideas from pitch to publication and iterate based on editorial feedback and performance. Spot great stories before everyone else does. What we're looking for Applicants for this role must be based in India. A creative and versatile writer with 1–3 years of experience in content, editorial, or journalism. Bonus points if you have previously worked with a digital content company. Freshers who show promise with exceptional creative skills will also be considered. Excellent written English and a strong grasp of grammar. A genuine curiosity about internet culture, pop culture, and why people share content. Strong research skills and attention to detail. Ability to think like a reader and package stories with compelling headlines and hooks. Organized, deadline-driven, and able to juggle multiple stories at once. Someone who takes initiative, works independently, and is eager to learn from data and feedback. Comfortable with CMS tools. This is a full-time 40-hour-a-week contract position, Monday through Friday, with the ability to work remotely as long as you are based in India .
