You’ll play a key role in the successful delivery of diverse commercial construction projects. From procurement and subcontractor management through to cost control and contract administration, you'll be involved in every stage of the project lifecycle.

About the role

As a Contracts Administrator, you will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards, and mitigating risk. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to negotiate terms, resolve issues, and streamline contract processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Management: Oversee the preparation, negotiation, and administration of contracts with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors. Ensure all contracts comply with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify and assess potential risks associated with contracts and implement strategies to mitigate them.
  • Cost Control: Manage all cost control for head contract claims, variations, subcontract claims, monthly cost reporting
  • Document Control: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all contracts and related documents. Ensure proper filing and retrieval of contract documentation.
  • Dispute Resolution: Address and resolve any disputes or issues that arise during the contract lifecycle in a timely and effective manner.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously review and improve contract management processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness

About You – Skills/Experience and attributes

  • Construction management degree or similar relevant tertiary/trade qualification
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in contracts administration with a proven track record in complex contract negotiations and management.
  • Strong understanding of contract law and regulations.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Jobpac experience (not essential although will be highly regarded)
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
