Full job description

FROM SILVER.DEV http://Silver.dev This is an opportunity for an exceptional, deeply technical engineer from Argentina to join as CTO of a fast-growing startup. You'll be the technical co-leader of the company alongside the founders: owning the product's architecture, setting the engineering bar, and building the team and culture from the ground up, with the ownership and upside that comes with a leadership role this early. ABOUT CONVEXITY https://theconvexity.com/ For distributors and manufacturers, growth often means hiring more people to process orders, manage purchasing, and keep up with emails. Convexity changes that. It serves as the source of truth for inventory and an AI operations manager, automatically converting orders from emails and marketplaces into sales orders and invoices, forecasting demand at the SKU level, and telling teams exactly what to buy and when. Customers can also use Convexity directly through ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini. The goal: inventory management on autopilot. RESPONSIBILITIES You will work in person with the founders in San Francisco and operate with extreme ownership: every technical decision ultimately lands on your desk.

  • You will own the technical vision and architecture of the platform, making the calls that balance shipping fast today with building systems that scale to thousands of distributors.
  • You will stay deeply hands-on across the whole stack (frontend, backend, data, infrastructure, and AI), writing code and shipping products end-to-end, especially in the early days.
  • You will set the technical roadmap together with the founders and translate business priorities into engineering plans.
  • You will talk directly to customers, understand how distributors actually operate, and turn their problems into shipped features.
  • You will hire, lead and mentor the engineering team, defining how the company builds software: processes, standards, code quality and culture.
  • You will own reliability, security and data integrity for a product that customers trust with their inventory, orders and invoices. YOU MIGHT BE A GOOD FIT IF
  • You are very technical and have a spiky profile: exceptional depth in at least one area and strong command across the full stack.
  • You've built ambitious systems from zero and taken them to production with real users. Exceptional technical projects matter more to us than pedigree or where you studied.
  • You have experience as a tech lead, founding engineer, or early engineering leader, and you've made architecture decisions you had to live with.
  • You've hired engineers or helped build a team, or are excited and ready to do it now.
  • You are obsessive about the details, love going deep into hard problems, and care more about the work than about appearances.
  • You are high-energy, passionate about what you build, and genuinely good-hearted: someone people want to work next to, and follow, every day.
  • You have strong experience with some of: Python, React, TypeScript, APIs and databases. Experience with LLMs, integrations, or data-heavy systems is a big plus.
  • You are based in Argentina and willing to relocate to San Francisco.
  • You have a C1 English level. THE INTERVIEW PROCESS
