Full Job Description

About Rivet Rivet is an American company building integrated task systems — fusing hardened hardware with software, sensors, AI, and networking — for industrial workforces and defense personnel. We create capabilities that multiply the effectiveness of every individual and withstand the world’s toughest environments.

We serve the people who build, operate, maintain, and defend our way of life. From technicians and engineers to first responders and service members, they embody the hard work, ingenuity, and meritocratic values that drive Western prosperity. Yet too often they are forced to rely on outdated tools that fail under modern pressures. Rivet exists to reset that priority.

At Rivet, you’ll join a mission-driven team that fuses disciplines to deliver decisive outcomes where they matter most. Whether shaping our technology, strengthening our partnerships, or building our culture, every role here contributes to equipping the front lines with the modern systems they deserve.

Work Authorization Requirement: Due to the nature of our business and compliance with federal regulations, all candidates must be a "U.S. Person". Upon hire, you will be required to provide documentation verifying your status as a U.S. Citizen, a lawful permanent resident, or a protected individual under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).

Summary

We’re looking for a highly analytical and execution-oriented Corporate Development Lead professional to help shape the next chapter of Rivet's growth. This person will serve as a strategic partner to the executive team, helping evaluate growth opportunities, guide long-term planning, support board and investor engagement, and drive critical company initiatives from idea to execution. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable building financial models, engaging board members and investors, driving cross-functional initiatives, and helping translate company strategy into operational execution.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and execute strategic growth opportunities, including partnerships, investments, and other corporate development initiatives.

  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and business opportunity assessments to support long-term growth.

  • Assess, negotiate, and manage strategic commercial partnerships, supplier agreements, and other business development opportunities.

  • Support board and investor relations, including preparation of board materials, investor updates, and strategic planning discussions.

  • Partner with leadership to develop and refine the company's long-term strategy, operating plans, and key business initiatives.

  • Lead special projects and cross-functional initiatives on behalf of the executive team.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, consulting, corporate development, strategic finance, or a related field.

  • Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with executives, investors, and external partners.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and drive execution across multiple stakeholders.

  • Strong business judgment and comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.

  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a high-growth technology company.

  • Experience evaluating and negotiating high-value strategic partnerships, investments, and acquisitions.

  • Experience preparing materials for boards of directors and investors.

  • Proven ability to influence decisions and drive outcomes across functions.

Compensation may vary within the posted range based on relevant experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for equity and other forms of compensation. Eligible employees also receive a competitive benefits package, including unlimited PTO.

Rivet is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to any characteristic protected by applicable law. Certain roles may require U.S. Person status, security clearance eligibility, or other requirements imposed by law or government contract.
