Full job description
The role prosecutes serious criminal cases in the Magistrate's Court, High Court and Court of Appeal, reviews police investigation files, prepares indictments and submissions, briefs witnesses, coordinates case progress, conducts criminal-law research and provides legal advice. Basic salary is EC$86,033.88 annually, plus stated legal, travel and telephone allowances, 23 days' vacation leave and a 25% completion gratuity on basic salary.
Requirements & qualifications
Requires either a Master of Laws plus a Certificate in Legal Education or equivalent and three years of legal practice, particularly criminal law; or a Bachelor of Laws plus a Certificate in Legal Education or equivalent and four years of legal practice, particularly criminal law.
