Schedule: FT Job Type: On-site Salary Type: Hourly  Req #: 3326 About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented Customer Service Specialist. This role is responsible for assisting clients with export-related inquiries, processing import documentation, and ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection  regulations while delivering timely and accurate service. This is a full-time Monday–Friday position with standard business hours, based at our Laredo, TX. office. What the Candidate Will Do Review commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading to extract data required for export filings. Accurately input and submit EEI/SED data into the proprietary software. Verify critical data points including Schedule B commodity codes, Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) numbers, values, quantities, and country of origin. Monitor AES responses for acceptances, internal transactional errors, or fatal errors, and resolve basic issues promptly. Proactively reach out to shippers or account managers to obtain missing documentation or clarify ambiguous shipment details. Ensure all filings adhere to the Foreign Trade Regulations (FTR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Maintain organized digital records of all submissions, internal transaction numbers (ITNs), and customer correspondence for auditing purposes. Proficiency with Excel/Google sheets and the ability to quickly learn specialized logistics software. Basic Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite/Google Suite  1–2 years of U.S. Customs brokerage, import operations, or trade compliance experience, including working knowledge of tariff classification, duty programs, and CBP entry processes. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to multitask and deliver exceptional customer service.  Ability to work independently, make rapid and accurate decisions in high-stress situations, and escalate complex issues appropriately. Bilingual : English and Spanish with full professional proficiency in both written and verbal communication Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Customs, or a related field.
