CWAJ is accepting 2027 applications from eligible Japanese women and women with Japanese special permanent resident status who plan to pursue graduate degrees abroad in English-speaking programs.

Scholarship award(s) of JPY 3,500,000 are offered for 2027. Applications close at 22:00 Japan Standard Time on 5 October 2026. Applicants register for an Application ID and then receive links to the full application and reference forms.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants must be women who are Japanese nationals or special permanent residents, reside in Japan through the end of April 2027, and pursue an eligible graduate degree in an English-speaking program abroad. Current requirements include completing a four-year Japanese university degree by 31 July 2027 and meeting the specified admission and English-proficiency conditions.
