Detailed *Job Description (JD)* for a *Cybersecurity Architect* position based on your requirements, tailored for a UAE-based, on-site role:

*Job Title:* Cybersecurity Architect

*Location:* On-Site UAE (Dubai) *Work Schedule:* Full-time, 5 Days a Week (SundayThursday) *Experience Required:* Minimum 6 Years in Networking + Experience in Cybersecurity (Total 8-10 Years Preferred)

*Job Summary:*

We are seeking a *proactive and self-driven Cybersecurity Architect* with a strong background in enterprise networking and deep expertise in cybersecurity architecture. The ideal candidate should be capable of independently analyzing the infrastructure and applications, identifying gaps in the existing security posture, and providing actionable, well-documented recommendations to strengthen the overall security framework.

*Key Responsibilities:*

* *Security Architecture & Risk Assessment:*

* Continuously monitor, assess, and analyze the organization's attack surface across on-premises and cloud environments. * Review existing security controls, tools, and policies to ensure alignment with industry best practices. * Identify vulnerabilities and gaps proactively, and assess their potential business impact. * Create detailed risk assessment reports with severity classification, root cause analysis, and remediation plans.

* *Reporting & Recommendations:*

* Prepare and submit reports to the IT Manager with identified issues, proposed mitigations, and solution architecture. * Prioritize findings based on severity and likelihood of exploitation.

* *Technical Leadership & R\&D:*

* Conduct independent research and stay up to date on emerging threats, TTPs (Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures), and evolving security technologies. * Lead discussions with internal teams on proposed solutions and architectural changes. * Collaborate with vendors and evaluate new tools or technologies where needed.

* *Collaboration & Implementation:*

* Work closely with engineering, IT, and application teams to design and implement practical security solutions. * Participate in planning and execution of secure system implementations, configurations, and upgrades.

* *Governance & Compliance:*

* Ensure that the cybersecurity architecture aligns with internal policies, UAE regulatory requirements (such as NESA, DESC, and UAE Information Assurance Standards), and international frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS).

*Required Qualifications:*

* Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field. * Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in enterprise networking (Routing, Switching, Firewalls, SD-WAN, VPN, etc.). * 3+ years of focused experience in cybersecurity architecture or security engineering roles. * Strong understanding of network and infrastructure security, endpoint protection, SIEM, EDR/XDR, DLP, WAF, IAM, PAM, and Zero Trust Architecture. * Experience in threat modeling, risk assessments, and incident analysis.

*Preferred Certifications:*

* *Mandatory:* One or more of the following:

* CISSP / CISM / CCSP * Azure or AWS Security Certification * *Nice to have:* CEH, OSCP, SANS GIAC, Cisco CCNP Security
