Full job description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Data Analyst/Health Economist – US Claims & RWE based in the United States. This role sits at the intersection of healthcare analytics, health economics, and value-based contracting. You will analyze large-scale US claims and clinical datasets to generate insights that inform pricing and contracting strategies. The position also supports the ongoing adjudication and execution of value-based agreements after they go live. You’ll work closely with consulting and product teams to transform complex healthcare data into clear, client-ready recommendations. The environment is international, fast-paced, and suited to analytical problem solvers who enjoy tackling ambiguous challenges. Your work will contribute to better decision-making across payer and pharmaceutical stakeholders. It is an opportunity to develop expertise across claims analytics, HEOR, RWE, and innovative healthcare contracting models.
Analyze large-scale US healthcare claims data, including Medicare, Medicaid, and/or commercial datasets, as well as clinical data, to support pricing and contracting recommendations. Support the adjudication of signed value-based agreements by reviewing claims data and identifying and validating customer rebate eligibility. Build and maintain analyses covering cost sheets, healthcare spending, utilization, and related metrics to support strategic recommendations and day-to-day contract execution. Apply health economics and outcomes research methodologies, including cost-effectiveness modeling, budget impact modeling, and comparative effectiveness analysis. Translate complex datasets and analytical findings into clear, decision-useful outputs for consulting engagements and client needs. Collaborate with consulting and product teams to ensure analyses are technically robust, client-ready, and delivered within agreed timelines. Perform rigorous quality control, validation, and data checks across large and complex claims datasets. Contribute to improving analytical processes and tools in a rapidly evolving healthcare technology environment. Requirements 2–5 years of relevant professional experience in healthcare analytics, health economics, HEOR, real-world evidence, or a related quantitative field. Hands-on experience analyzing US claims data, preferably involving Medicare, Medicaid, and/or commercial populations. Working knowledge of health economics and outcomes research principles and their application to healthcare decision-making. Strong SQL skills and the ability to manipulate and analyze large, complex, and potentially messy healthcare datasets. Experience with SAS, R, or Python is a strong advantage. Bachelor’s degree or higher in health economics, biostatistics, epidemiology, public health, or another quantitative discipline; an advanced degree is preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to turn complex data into actionable insights. High attention to detail and a strong commitment to data quality, validation, and accuracy. Proactive, ownership-driven approach with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, scaling environment. Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across consulting, product, and other multidisciplinary teams. Benefits Fully remote position based in the United States. Full-time, mid-level opportunity within a growing healthcare technology environment. Opportunity to contribute to initiatives focused on improving access to healthcare and medicines. Exposure to both payer and pharmaceutical perspectives at the intersection of healthcare analytics and value-based contracting. Direct opportunity to contribute to business growth and high-impact client projects. Collaboration with an international team of experienced professionals. Professional development and career advancement opportunities. Competitive compensation package aligned with the scale-up environment. Opportunity to deepen expertise across US claims analytics, HEOR, RWE, pricing, and value-based agreements.
