We are seeking a Data Governance Analyst to contribute to our next level of growth and expansion.

What is this position about?

We are looking for a Data Governance Analyst with approximately 3+ years of professional experience to support the implementation and execution of enterprise data governance initiatives. This role will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to improve data quality, maintain governance documentation, support metadata management, and ensure governance processes and controls are effectively implemented. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and passionate about enabling trusted, well-governed data across the organization.

Full job description

  • Support the execution of enterprise Data Governance initiatives and governance processes.
  • Create and maintain governance documentation, standards, and procedures.
  • Perform data analysis and data profiling to identify quality issues and opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist with metadata management activities, including documenting and maintaining business and technical metadata.
  • Validate data governance controls and ensure compliance with established governance policies.
  • Document business definitions, data rules, and governance requirements in collaboration with business stakeholders.
  • Support data stewardship activities and contribute to improving data quality across critical data domains.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into governance documentation.
  • Monitor governance activities and contribute to continuous process improvements.
  • Communicate governance updates, findings, and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications and requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field.
  • Approximately 3+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Business/Data Analysis, or related areas.
  • Experience with data governance platforms such as Atlan, Collibra, Alation, or similar governance workflow and metadata management tools.
  • Understanding of Data Governance principles, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Experience performing data analysis and data profiling.
  • Knowledge of metadata management concepts.
  • Experience documenting business rules, data definitions, and functional requirements.
  • Strong requirements gathering and analysis skills.
  • SQL proficiency is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with both business and technical teams.

What about languages?

  • Advanced English (written and verbal) preferred.

How much experience must I have?

  • Approximately 3+ years of professional experience in Data Governance, Data Analysis, Business Analysis, Data Management, or related disciplines.
