This remote, part-time role supports critical civilian personnel operations for a major U.S. Department of Defense mission. You will provide expert support across DCPDS, DCPS, and DCHRMS, helping maintain accurate and compliant personnel transactions. The position combines HR processing, systems analysis, testing, troubleshooting, and quality assurance. You will investigate complex personnel and payroll interface issues and help drive system improvements. The role also involves collaborating with federal stakeholders, program managers, and technical teams. Your expertise will directly contribute to reliable personnel operations and mission readiness. This is an opportunity to apply deep federal HR systems knowledge in a flexible, fully remote environment.

Perform personnel transaction processing within the DCPDS Enterprise Suite across production and designated test environments, ensuring compliance with OPM regulations and personnel processing guidance. Support civilian performance actions within DPMAP by researching, assessing, resolving, and validating performance-related transactions. Process and quality-assure Wage Mariner personnel transactions, including preparing and submitting Change Request Transmittals (CRTs) for annual pay table updates and system issue resolution. Diagnose complex issues involving DCPDS and its interfaces with DCPS by conducting root-cause analysis, replicating errors, testing simulated data, and evaluating results. Research and document software issues affecting personnel processing and prepare System Change Requests (SCRs) and CRTs for system changes and enhancements. Conduct formal release testing for DCPDS and related enterprise personnel systems, validating changes and problem resolutions against established specifications and timelines. Prepare and submit DON-specific salary tables annually while coordinating with relevant pay, compensation, and personnel stakeholders. Manage service tickets and escalate complex issues through established DoD tracking and support systems. Participate in meetings involving personnel systems, payroll, and federal HR initiatives, providing clear documentation and follow-up summaries. Maintain accurate personnel data, support regulatory compliance, and contribute to continuous improvements across HR systems and processes. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, or at least five years of demonstrated DCPDS experience in lieu of a degree. At least five years of experience in Human Resources staffing and personnel processing. At least five years of experience supporting the DCPDS Enterprise Suite and DCPS, including operational support, analysis, problem investigation, testing, and verification. At least two years of experience with Oracle HCM Cloud/DCHRMS enterprise components. Strong knowledge of federal HR regulations, OPM processing guidance, and Department of Defense personnel systems. Demonstrated ability to independently diagnose multi-system interface problems, reproduce errors, and identify effective solutions. Experience preparing SCRs and CRTs and participating in formal system release testing cycles. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities, particularly when working with complex personnel and payroll issues. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, HR professionals, program managers, and other stakeholders. Strong customer-service orientation and the ability to build productive working relationships. Comfortable adapting to changing priorities and approaching process or system changes with a positive, solutions-focused mindset. U.S. citizenship is required. A completed NACI or ANACI background investigation is required; the position is contingent upon favorable background investigation results before the start date. Benefits Fully remote work arrangement with no required travel. Part-time schedule of approximately 20 hours per week. Flexible work-week structure designed to support work-life balance. Competitive compensation, with an indicated salary range of approximately $71,875–$107,744, depending on experience, location, and contractual requirements. 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching. Medical plan options, including options with Health Savings Accounts. Dental and vision coverage. Paid vacation, sick, personal, and holiday leave, prorated where applicable. Paid parental, military, bereavement, and jury-duty leave for eligible employees. Up to 160 hours of paid family leave in a rolling 12-month period for eligible employees. Life insurance, disability coverage, accidental death and dismemberment, critical illness, and other insurance options. Professional education, certification, and career development opportunities.
