Driver/Delivery Person I. FUNCTIONS & REQUIREMENTS Purpose The purpose of this job is to pick-up and/or deliver merchandise as required and serve as a company representative, promoting the reputation of United Central Industrial Supply Company in a positive manner. Primary Functions •Operate company vehicles safely. •Load and unload merchandise on vehicles. •Obtain signatures and/or payments upon delivery of merchandise. •Follow assigned scheduling of deliveries; make deliveries on time as scheduled. •Follow proper procedures in reporting accidents in accordance with company policies. •Maintain vehicles appearance, reporting any needed maintenance; observe traffic laws and regulations. •Maintain neat personal appearance; always remain courteous and service minded in dealing with customers. •Keep supervisor informed of shortages, overages or damaged merchandise and unresolved customer complaints.
