About the Role As Delivery Lead / Scrum Master, you will own the working relationship between AspenView and our client and be accountable for everything the client sees: the reporting line, the governance cadence, and the decisions that come out of both. This is a senior, independent role. You will serve a full integrated delivery team across multiple workstreams and represent that team to business stakeholders, source-system owners, and executive sponsors. Sprint cadence is the method, not the job. Success is measured by whether the client can see delivery clearly, decide quickly, and trust the numbers—and whether problems reach the right people before they become expensive. We are looking for a contributor, not a task executor: someone who questions whether the right thing is being built and says so. What You Will Do Stakeholder Management Act as the single point of accountability to the client for delivery—the person the sponsor calls when something is unclear, late, or contested. Build relationships across the client’s business functions—manufacturing, finance, sales, operations, and procurement—not only IT counterparts. Manage competing priorities in the open: make trade-offs visible and drive the prioritization decision rather than absorbing it into the sprint. Hold the line on scope professionally—say no with a reason and an alternative instead of deferring the conversation upward. Flag slippage, scope pressure, and dependency risk before the client discovers them independently. Prepare stakeholders for sprint reviews and validation sessions so their time produces decisions and coach those new to sprint cadences on participating effectively. Translate one delivery reality precisely for different audiences—a CFO, an IT director, and a data engineer. Reporting & Governance Own the client steering committee end to end agenda, materials, recorded decisions, actions with named owners and dates, and follow-through between sessions. Run a defined reporting cadence: weekly delivery status, a monthly executive summary for the sponsor and AspenView leadership, and a quarterly review of outcomes against commitments. Report consistently against a fixed metric set—velocity, cycle time, escaped defects, validation pass rate, and delivery against committed scope. Surface commercial reality as it happens—scope change, burn against budget, and change requests—so nothing arrives as a month-end surprise. Maintain and actively drive a live risk and issue register with named owners, dates, and status. Operate a defined escalation path to AspenView Delivery Leadership and the client sponsor, with explicit thresholds. Write executive summaries that can be read in two minutes and acted on, and turn sprint metrics into a delivery health narrative that holds up under executive challenge. Delivery Execution Run a two-week sprint cadence end to end intent capture, build-in-the-open delivery, mid-sprint validation, and re-planning based on what is learned. Facilitate Scrum ceremonies for the integrated AspenView and client team: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement. Own the engagement backlog in Azure DevOps, including hygiene, prioritization with the technical lead and business analyst, capacity planning, and velocity tracking. Coordinate dependencies across data engineering, BI, security, DevOps, UX, and data science to keep parallel delivery on track. Remove technical, organizational, and cross-team blockers, and escalate cleanly when needed. Hold the team to vertical-slice delivery so every sprint ships a thin but complete slice stakeholders can validate. Run retrospectives that produce tracked, measurable improvements, and surface recurring systemic impediments to AspenView leadership. Operate independently as the senior delivery lead, without a Project Manager layer above the role. What You Bring Education Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Experience 8+ years leading delivery on enterprise data, BI, or analytics programs, including at least 4 years client-facing at senior stakeholder level. Demonstrable ownership of a client reporting and governance line, with concrete examples of steering committees run and decisions driven through them. Track record managing senior business stakeholders through contested prioritization, holding scope and surfacing trade-offs. Proven experience running delivery for an integrated team of 8–12 engineers and specialists across multiple workstreams. Demonstrated independence operating as the senior delivery lead on an engagement. Technical Expertise Hands-on Azure DevOps proficiency (boards, backlogs, pipelines, release management) sufficient to administer the backlog and pull reporting data directly. Strong command of Scrum practices and delivery metrics, including velocity, cycle time, and defect tracking. Communication & Mindset Excellent written and verbal English; able to produce an executive summary that stands on its own. Equally comfortable in a steering committee with a CFO and a stand-up with a data engineer. Holds and states a point of view, including to senior stakeholders, and reopens decisions when new evidence warrants it. Asks why a process or standard exists before extending it, and surfaces risk and weak requirements the moment they are noticed. Argues from evidence, changes position on evidence, and leaves the team’s practice stronger than it was found. Certifications Scrum Master certification: CSM, PSM I, or equivalent (required). Nice to Have Agile coaching credentials and a record of measurably raising team agile maturity (e.g., cycle time reduction, improved predictability). Experience on manufacturing, supply chain, or industrial operations data programs (MES, ERP, plant analytics, OEE, scrap, or OTIF dashboards). Familiarity with the Microsoft data and BI stack: Dynamics 365, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and Power BI. Familiarity with KPI and data governance councils and running them alongside delivery. Experience in export-controlled or regulated delivery environments and their audit-trail discipline. Experience with scaled agile frameworks (SAFe, LeSS, Nexus) and leading distributed teams for U.S. enterprise clients. Advanced certifications: A-CSM, CSP-SM, PSM II/III, SAFe SSM, SAFe RTE, or PMP.
