This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Desenvolvedor Backend based in Brazil. This is a fully remote Backend Developer opportunity focused on building and evolving high-performance applications used at significant scale. You will work within a Product squad, contributing to technical decisions from solution design through implementation and production monitoring. The role involves PHP, Go, and JavaScript, with a strong emphasis on performance, availability, scalability, and reliability. You will help shape data structures, APIs, architecture, and infrastructure while solving complex engineering challenges. Because the platform supports thousands of users and high volumes of simultaneous requests, production impact and system robustness are central to the role. You will collaborate closely with other engineers and product professionals in a transparent, agile, and results-oriented environment. As a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for developing and evolving reliable, scalable applications while contributing to the technical evolution of the platform. You will work closely with Product squads and help ensure that performance, stability, and availability are considered throughout the development lifecycle. Develop, test, and maintain backend applications using PHP and Go, applying software engineering best practices. Design solutions with performance, availability, scalability, and reliability in mind from the beginning. Participate in the modeling and evolution of data structures, considering query performance, data volumes, concurrency, and platform growth. Monitor applications in production and investigate errors, bottlenecks, performance degradation, and potential customer or user impact. Analyze and resolve incidents while contributing to continuous improvements in platform stability and availability. Participate in Product squads and contribute technically from solution discussions through implementation and production monitoring. Develop and consume RESTful APIs with attention to performance, security, resilience, and scalability. Propose improvements to application architecture, code, databases, and infrastructure to increase robustness, maintainability, performance, and scalability. Investigate complex technical and performance issues and identify effective solutions for high-load systems. Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, collaboration, and engineering excellence. Requirements: The ideal candidate is an experienced Backend Developer with a strong background in high-availability environments and systems operating at scale. You should combine solid technical expertise with analytical thinking, collaboration, organization, and a willingness to continuously learn and tackle complex engineering challenges. 5+ years of professional experience in Backend development. Experience developing, testing, and maintaining web applications in critical environments with high availability, high request volumes, and thousands of concurrent users. Professional experience with PHP, Go, and JavaScript. Strong knowledge of software architecture, SOLID principles, design patterns, and software development best practices. Solid understanding of data modeling and relational and non-relational databases. Experience designing and working with databases while considering query performance, concurrency, and large data volumes. Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs with a focus on performance, security, resilience, and scalability. Ability to analyze performance issues, identify bottlenecks, and propose solutions for high-load systems. Strong logical reasoning, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to investigate and resolve complex technical challenges independently and collaboratively. Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a transparent, honest, collaborative, and results-oriented approach. Willingness to learn new technologies and take on challenging engineering problems.
