We are looking for a DevOps and Platform Engineer to join our innovative team!
Responsibilities:
- Instituting and promoting continuous integration/delivery practices within the development team
- Working with hosting and/or cloud providers to set up application environments and enable smooth and efficient application deployments
- Developing scripts and making use of continuous integration tools to automate build, software release, and application deployment
- Provisioning and managing servers, virtual machines, application containers, software licenses and other related resources for the development team
- Conduct system level security scans, harden system and application platform
- Manage the operations of cloud infrastructure and application services in production environment.
- Ensuring infrastructure and services meet compliance standards (e.g., CIS Benchmarks, NIST frameworks) while driving automation, standardization, and best practices.
- Documenting implementation and maintaining technical documentation to ensure clarity and consistency for future reference
Requirements
- Passion for automation, standardisation, compliance and best practices
- Familiarity with Python, ELK, Docker, NGINX, Grafana, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with configuration management tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc).
- Experience with common AWS resources (Load balancers, CloudFront, EKS, ECS, Security Hub, etc).
- Experience with relevant CI tools/technologies, such as TeamCity, Github, Gitlab
- Experience with system administration and scripting on Unix, Linux and Windows environments
- Comfortable with Agile methodologies and working closely with Agile development teams
- Experience with implementing cost-optimization strategies through cloud-native best practices will be an added advantage.
- Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related disciplines
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in similar role
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g. Red Hat Certified Engineer, CKA) will be an added advantage
- Ideally someone who has managed production system and with best practice and compliance in mind.
