Director, Financial Communications Designer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, Financial Communications Designer based in United States. This senior design role shapes the visual storytelling behind high-stakes financial communications for sophisticated investor and executive audiences. You will create compelling presentations and visual narratives for quarterly earnings, investor conferences, investor days, and Board materials. The position combines exceptional presentation design with strong editorial judgment, data visualization, and the ability to understand complex technical and financial concepts. You will work closely with senior executives, finance and investor relations leaders, brand teams, and technical stakeholders. Your work will turn complex information, performance metrics, technology milestones, and financial data into clear and persuasive visual communications. You will also help strengthen design systems, templates, and workflows that enable teams to produce consistent, high-quality materials. The role is fully remote, with occasional travel, and offers the opportunity to contribute to communications within an emerging technology environment.

Develop story-driven, high-quality presentations and visual narratives for CFO and senior executive audiences, including Board, investor, and conference presentations. Contribute to quarterly investor communications, financial conferences, investor days, and other high-visibility financial materials. Partner closely with senior finance and investor relations leaders, centralized brand teams, and technical stakeholders to develop effective communications. Present creative concepts and design rationale to senior executives, incorporate feedback thoughtfully, and iterate quickly in high-stakes environments. Translate complex financial information into clear, compelling data visualizations, charts, layouts, and presentation content. Develop narratives that connect technology milestones, performance metrics, and technical roadmaps with investor and financial communications. Quickly understand unfamiliar technical and financial subject matter and distill it into accessible, meaningful visual content. Create cohesive visual experiences for investor events across presentations, invitations, emails, web and investor-relations assets, signage, and on-site materials. Ensure event and communication materials consistently align with established brand standards. Build and maintain presentation templates, chart libraries, asset libraries, and other design systems that enable non-designers to create on-brand materials independently. Explore and apply AI tools and techniques to improve design efficiency, ideation, prompting, and workflow effectiveness while maintaining a high quality standard. Handle sensitive and confidential financial and corporate information with appropriate discretion. Requirements 12+ years of professional experience in visual design, presentation design, visual communication, or a related field within a fast-paced environment. Portfolio demonstrating strong fundamentals in typography, layout, color, and visual communication across presentation, digital, and print formats. Ability to clearly articulate design decisions, creative processes, and visual storytelling rationale. Exceptional proficiency in PowerPoint presentation design. Mastery of Figma and proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Illustrator. Experience presenting creative proposals and design rationale to senior executives. Strong ability to navigate stakeholder feedback, ambiguity, competing priorities, and rapid iteration. Ability to quickly understand complex technical or financial content and transform it into clear, engaging visual communications. Excellent time and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize high-volume work without compromising quality. Familiarity with AI-assisted design principles, including prompting, workflow efficiency, and responsible use of AI tools. Demonstrated discretion and professionalism when working with sensitive and confidential information, including material non-public information. Prior experience supporting Investor Relations, corporate finance, or a public company’s earnings cycle is preferred. Motion graphics experience using After Effects or comparable tools is preferred. Experience with AI design tools such as Claude Design and practical use of AI beyond image generation, including accessibility checks, design variations, and efficiency tools, is preferred. Experience building and maintaining design systems, asset libraries, and related documentation is preferred. Strong editorial instincts, including the ability to write or refine headlines, captions, and concise copy that strengthen visual narratives. Experience with executive presentation coaching, including tone, pacing, scripting, or stage presence, is preferred. Familiarity with web and UI/UX principles, including responsive design, accessibility, and CMS tools, is a plus. Passion for emerging technology and financial communications.
