This role will partner closely with senior leadership, People and Culture, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams to ensure employees receive clear, timely, and meaningful information. The position combines communications strategy, storytelling, change management, employee engagement, and event leadership in a fast-paced professional services environment. You will advise leaders through organizational change, sensitive communications, and firm-wide initiatives while helping connect brand identity with workplace culture. Serve as a strategic resource on belonging, anti-racism, equity, and inclusion, incorporating these principles into employee communications, engagement initiatives, and organizational experiences. Help maintain alignment between internal communications, brand identity, workplace culture, and employee experience, while identifying opportunities to strengthen organizational engagement and employer reputation. Lead strategy and execution for firm-wide employee engagement and team-building initiatives, including all-staff conferences, leadership retreats, town halls, and other events, managing stakeholders, communications, timelines, logistics, and execution. Create and oversee content across internal communication channels, including newsletters, marketing digests, employee platforms, surveys, listening sessions, Slack, and other digital or print communications, using feedback and engagement trends to identify opportunities for improvement. Drive storytelling, recognition, and employee-focused communications that highlight the impact of teams and individuals and contribute to a strong sense of connection and shared purpose. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, or a related field, combined with at least 7 years of professional communications experience, ideally within the nonprofit or professional services sector. Exceptional storytelling, writing, editing, grammar, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear and compelling messages for diverse audiences. Strong active listening and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with clarity, candor, authenticity, and empathy while engaging effectively with people at all levels of an organization. Demonstrated experience developing and executing communications strategies for organizational change, navigating ambiguity, anticipating stakeholder needs, and supporting the adoption of new strategies, structures, processes, programs, or ways of working. Proven experience planning and managing organization-wide events, including conferences, retreats, town halls, team-building activities, and employee engagement initiatives from concept through completion. Experience partnering with senior executives and cross-functional teams to build alignment, foster trust, address concerns, and support organizational priorities. Strong relationship management, strategic thinking, project management, business acumen, and problem-solving capabilities, combined with sound judgment, discretion, tact, and diplomacy. A self-motivated, collaborative, creative, and proactive working style, with the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and continuously identify opportunities for improvement. Demonstrated commitment to anti-racism, equity, and inclusion, along with the ability to work effectively within equitable and inclusive decision-making environments. Strong attention to detail, adaptability, willingness to learn new technologies, openness to feedback, and the ability to communicate ideas persuasively across written, verbal, and interpersonal settings.
