This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, Lab Systems Software Development Engineering based in the United States. This is a senior engineering leadership role responsible for shaping software development strategy across critical laboratory systems and enterprise technology environments. You’ll lead the execution of engineering initiatives that connect business, product, and technology priorities while maintaining high standards for quality and reliability. The role combines organizational leadership with deep oversight of complex software platforms, system scalability, governance, performance, and availability. You’ll partner closely with product, architecture, infrastructure, and business stakeholders to translate enterprise priorities into effective engineering strategies. A major focus will be building strong engineering teams, developing talent, and establishing a culture centered on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. You’ll also ensure software development practices meet regulatory requirements, internal standards, service-level expectations, and clinical laboratory needs. This fully remote U.S. opportunity offers significant organizational impact, with approximately 25% travel and the chance to influence technology supporting healthcare and laboratory operations.
