The Director of Ecommerce is responsible for leading all aspects of Pattern’s go-to-market strategies, with a primary focus on Amazon 1st Party (Vendor Central) marketplace management. Core responsibilities include overseeing partner relationships, managing joint business plans with Amazon, negotiating vendor agreements, resolving escalations, and setting the strategic direction for our 1P ecommerce initiatives. In addition, the role will guide the integration of SaaS solutions and Outcomes as a Service into marketplace strategies, working closely with Product and Technology teams to deliver scalable results. These duties extend across Amazon and select strategic marketplaces, including Walmart.com, Target.com, and others. This is a full time role that works a hybrid schedule (three days in office each week) base in our beautiful Lehi, Utah office.
Set the strategic direction for end-to-end planning, forecasting, and inventory optimization across high-profile beauty brands, overseeing Associate Directors and Managers who execute against it Own category intake strategy at a portfolio level — OTB, ordering, and excess management — ensuring optimum inventory health and in-stock performance while controlling capital usage across the business Translate forecast deviations and their future implications into decisive action, setting the mitigation approach the wider team builds plans around Shape segmented assortment strategy using quantitative market analysis, informing how the business prioritizes categories and partners Own brand partner relationships at the executive level, leading high-stakes discussions on Buy Strategy, Sell In/Sell Out forecasts, and Supply Chain optimization, and serving as the ultimate point of escalation Set the trading lever strategy (swap and return negotiations, EOL MD management, promotional planning) that the team executes to hit revenue and margin targets Own annual, quarterly, and weekly budget setting in partnership with Finance and Brand Growth leadership Lead the onboarding strategy for new partners, ensuring data-led forecasting and buying strategies set brands up for long-term success Drive operational excellence at scale — sponsoring innovation projects and team initiatives that improve inventory productivity and margin across the org Represent Beauty brands to senior leadership and the executive team, presenting in Inventory Health Reviews, Quarterly Business Reviews, and Assortment Reviews Build, develop, and lead a team of Associate Directors and Managers, setting goals and growing talent within the the Beauty organization
Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or a related field Significant experience leading merchandising, buying, or inventory planning functions within the Beauty category Proven track record owning P&L-level outcomes tied to inventory, margin, and revenue Outstanding analytical and data management skills, with the ability to translate data into executive-level decisions Strong track record building and scaling high-performing teams Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership and executive audiences High ethical standards Management consulting experience a plus

This role is a great way to lead Pattern's Beauty function and grow future category leaders. The Director of Beauty position is a strong lead-in to broader leadership roles at Pattern.
30 Days - You have your team schedule and structure established with regular 1:1s, you build strong relationships with team members, brand managers, and Beauty brand partners. 60 Days - You hold regular strategy sessions to share valuable suggestions with Beauty brand partners. 90 Days - You build and execute successful strategies and understand the nuances of your Beauty brands’ ecommerce needs.
