This role is an opportunity to support the flow of critical project information across complex developments, helping teams work from accurate, current, and properly controlled documentation.
As a Document Controller, you will play an important role in keeping project documentation organized, accurate, and accessible. You will support collaboration across internal stakeholders and external project partners by helping ensure technical records move efficiently through review and approval processes while maintaining strong control standards throughout the document lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and organize project documents, drawings, and revision-controlled records.
- Ensure accurate filing, tracking, and distribution of technical documentation.
- Coordinate with internal teams to manage document submissions and approvals.
- Monitor document control procedures to maintain compliance and audit readiness.
- Prepare regular status reports on document flow, updates, and outstanding actions.
Requirements
- Degree in civil engineering, architecture, or construction management.
- 3+ years of document control experience in construction or real estate projects.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and hands-on experience with Aconex, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or another document management system.
- Experience handling drawings, revisions, RFIs, submittals, and transmittals.
- Experience managing consultant and contractor approvals and coordinating technical submissions with consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
