We’re looking for a Drain Technician who is dependable, mechanically inclined, comfortable working in customers’ homes, and motivated to build a long-term career in the plumbing and home services industry. You’ll have steady customer demand, support from experienced plumbing professionals, strong dispatch and customer service teams, and access to the tools and training needed to grow your skills. What You’ll Do Diagnose and clear residential drain and sewer stoppages. Use drain-cleaning equipment, cable machines, augers, and other appropriate tools. Perform camera inspections to help identify blockages, damaged piping, root intrusion, and other drainage issues. Explain findings and recommended next steps clearly to homeowners. Identify situations that may require additional plumbing repairs, excavation, hydro jetting, or sewer-line replacement. Maintain a clean and professional work area while protecting the customer’s home. Complete accurate service notes, photos, and job documentation. Maintain assigned tools, equipment, vehicle, and drain-cleaning inventory. Coordinate with dispatch, customer service, plumbers, and other field team members. Follow company safety procedures and proper equipment-use practices. Participate in technical training, team meetings, and professional development. Provide a professional customer experience from arrival through job completion. What We’re Looking For Previous drain-cleaning, plumbing, maintenance, or mechanical experience preferred. Comfortable working with drain-cleaning and sewer equipment. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate professionally with homeowners. Willingness to learn and continue developing plumbing and drain-service skills. Ability to work independently while knowing when to involve a senior plumber or supervisor. Dependable, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced service environment. Ability to perform physical work in basements, crawl spaces, utility areas, and outdoor conditions.
