Driver Operations Associate (Fleet Onboarding | 6-month contract)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and resourceful Driver Community & Fleet Acquisition Associate to strengthen Lalamove’s presence within the local driver and automotive ecosystem. This is a field focused role for someone who enjoys meeting people, exploring new opportunities and building relationships on the ground. You will act as the company’s eyes and ears in the market, identifying potential driver supply partners, gathering feedback from drivers and uncovering new channels through which we can grow our driver community. You do not need to be an automotive or logistics expert from day one. However, you should be commercially aware, willing to learn and able to communicate confidently with people at different levels, from individual drivers-operators to fleet owners, association representatives and business decision-makers.

Scout, engage and onboard fleet owners, transport operators, car rental companies and other businesses with access to potential drivers and vehicles. Identify and build relationships with key referrers, industry influencers, driver-community leaders and relevant trade or automotive associations. Prospect and develop new driver acquisition channels, including automotive workshops, driving schools, vehicle dealers, rental operators and online or offline driver communities. Promote Lalamove’s Driver-Refer-Driver programme to external drivers and potential referrers, clearly explaining its benefits, mechanics and eligibility requirements. Develop and manage referrer and affiliate activities that generate consistent, high-quality driver leads and registrations. Regularly engage drivers on the ground to understand their experience, concerns and operational challenges, and provide structured feedback and market insights to the internal team. Monitor competitor activities, driver incentives and market developments to help ensure that Lalamove’s driver-acquisition initiatives remain relevant and competitive. Build relationships with car clubs, automotive communities and event organisers to identify suitable events, gatherings and sponsorship or partnership opportunities. Support the planning and execution of field activations, automotive events and community-engagement initiatives to increase Lalamove’s visibility within the driver community. Respond to driver and partner enquiries and work with internal teams to resolve onboarding issues or other points of friction. Maintain accurate records of prospects, engagements, leads, onboarding progress and field feedback, and provide regular updates on outcomes and opportunities.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to engage both individual drivers and business owners or senior decision-makers. A hands-on, street-smart and resourceful approach, with a willingness to spend time in the field identifying and pursuing opportunities. A strong sense of curiosity and awareness, with the ability to listen to drivers, recognise market opportunities and translate ground-level observations into useful insights. A go-getter attitude with the initiative to propose practical ideas and solutions based on operational and market needs. Strong prioritisation and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple leads, relationships and activities without compromising quality. An autonomous and adaptable attitude suited to a fast-changing working environment. The discipline to follow company processes and SOPs while providing accurate, complete and appropriate information to drivers and external partners. A results-oriented mindset, with ownership of leads from initial engagement through onboarding and activation.

Diploma or higher in any field is preferred but not mandatory. Previous experience in field sales, business development, driver acquisition, community engagement, fleet management or partner recruitment would be an advantage. Familiarity with the local driver, automotive, transport or logistics community would be beneficial but is not required. Comfortable with frequent fieldwork and attending relevant community or automotive events when required. Basic proficiency in tracking leads, preparing updates and using standard digital communication and productivity tools. A valid driving licence and access to personal transportation would be an advantage.
