Dual Fuel Smart Meter Engineer (South West)

We're looking for Smart Meter Engineers with a track record of safety and customer excellence. You’ll be representing our brands in our customers’ homes so you’ll need to be just as happy talking to the customer and getting to know them as you are about doing the installation itself.

You’ll be fitting meters; showing customers how their meter and in-home display work; how it can help them save energy and answering any questions about the green energy revolution we are leading.

As part of the Octopus Energy Services team, we’ll ensure you have the best of everything you need to deliver the top-class service we’re aiming for. You’ll be supported by an office team who will share the same performance goals, so we’re always working as one. You’ll also have the backing of Octopus Energy’s massive tech power - so we're constantly evolving and shifting processes to ensure less time is spent on admin and more time is spent on delivering our best service to our customers 💚

Previous experience installing smart meters A customer first mindset and a can-do attitude Valid MOCoPA certification held within the last 2 years (evidence required) Gas Safe – CCN1/MET1 or CMA1/MET1 (or equivalent) Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points

£36,500 starting salary £2,500 annual performance bonus, and fit bonuses £25 per wee k lunch allowance Company vehicle, fuel and tools 450 share options in Octopus Energy Group Referral programme Company pension Enhanced maternity leave Enhanced paternity leave Health & wellbeing programme For every asset installed beyond your sixth, you’ll earn an additional £15 .

You will be on a rotating call-out schedule once every five weeks (Monday to Sunday), for which you will receive a £250 retainer . If called out, you’ll be paid from door to door. Saturday working: £50 for attending £70 for a dual fuel installation £35 for a single fuel installation Technical aborts are paid at half rate

This is a great chance to get to know you and how you like to work, we'll be able to give you the low down of the role and it's requirements Should your application progress to the next stage, you'll be invited to a virtual interview with a couple of the field team (who you'll likely be working with) so we can learn more about you, your experience and your motivation. You’ll also have the chance ask any questions and learn more about life as a Smart Meter Engineer with Octopus! Lastly, we'll ask you to complete a practical trade test to show off your skills. This will require travel to meet one of the team - we always try to book it as close to home as possible! You'll then hear from one of our recruiters regarding feedback 💚🌿
