The competition is dedicated to the memory of Urmas Sepp and is open to eligible master's and doctoral researchers. Eesti Pank states that one EUR 3,000 award will recognize research leading to a PhD thesis or undertaken during doctoral studies, and one EUR 2,000 award will recognize research leading to a master's dissertation or undertaken during a master's course. Results are due by 29 October 2026 at the latest.
Eligibility requirements
Eligible entrants include students at Estonian universities undertaking master's or doctoral studies and economists who completed such studies within the past four years. Economists studying at or graduated from foreign universities may also enter if they have ties to Estonia.
