Full job description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Electrical Design Production Lead / C.E.T. based in Canada. This is a hands-on electrical design role supporting complex hyperscale and AI data centre projects across North America. You will lead electrical design production, coordination, and quality control across multiple project teams. The role combines detailed technical design work with production planning and multidisciplinary coordination. You will work closely with engineers, architects, BIM specialists, project managers, and other technical professionals. Your work will contribute to large-scale mission-critical facilities with highly demanding electrical infrastructure. This opportunity suits an experienced designer who enjoys technical depth, collaboration, and high-quality project delivery. The position is fully remote in Canada, with optional site visits and opportunities for professional growth.
Coordinate electrical design production across multiple project teams supporting data centre and mission-critical infrastructure projects. Collaborate with electrical engineers, architects, project managers, designers, BIM modelers, and other disciplines to deliver accurate and well-coordinated designs. Perform hands-on electrical design and production using Revit and other electrical design and coordination software. Develop, update, and maintain electrical models and drawings throughout the different stages of a project. Review electrical drawings and deliverables at IFP, IFC, permitting, and construction-document stages. Conduct detailed quality-control checks and comprehensive design reviews to ensure technical accuracy, consistency, and compliance. Break production requirements into actionable tasks, coordinate assignments, and manage resources to support project schedules. Support project teams with documentation reviews, coordination activities, and issue resolution using project management and collaboration platforms. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to identify and resolve design conflicts and production issues. Participate in client calls when required to support technical coordination and communication, without acting as the primary client relationship owner. Contribute to continuous improvements in design-production processes, workflows, standards, and quality practices. Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university. 5–8 years of hands-on experience in electrical design, production, or coordination, preferably within construction, engineering, or complex building environments. Strong proficiency in Revit , including regular hands-on use for electrical design production and coordination. Solid understanding of electrical design workflows, production processes, and industry-standard design tools. Practical knowledge of power distribution systems, UPS systems, standby generators, life-safety systems, monitoring systems, and security systems. Familiarity with NEC requirements, applicable electrical codes, industry standards, and safety regulations. Experience working on complex commercial, healthcare, industrial, data centre, or comparable building projects. Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or Revizto is considered an asset. A Professional Engineer (PE) license is not required but would be considered an advantage. Strong attention to detail and a consistent commitment to design quality and coordination. Ability to organize production workflows and collaborate effectively across multiple technical teams. Strong written and verbal communication skills for internal collaboration and occasional client interaction. Comfortable working independently in a remote environment while maintaining strong coordination with distributed project teams. Must be authorized to work in Canada. Optional site visits are available; regular travel is not required. Benefits Fully remote work opportunity within Canada. Opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge hyperscale and AI data centre projects across North America. Exposure to large-scale mission-critical facilities and advanced engineering technologies. Comprehensive training and professional development support. Supportive management and a collaborative, international team environment. Opportunities for career development and progression. Competitive compensation package. Health insurance and other employee benefits. Life insurance. Short-term and long-term disability coverage. Paid time off and additional employee benefits. Participation in a company retirement plan. Stock ownership or synthetic equity opportunities. Exposure to advanced tools and technologies, including digital twins, 3D building modeling, computational fluid dynamics, and custom controls software.
