About The Role

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our team. You will design, develop, and validate the electrical systems of a humanoid robot platform including power distribution, motor control electronics, sensor interfaces, and communication networks and ensure robust integration with embedded firmware and our ROS2-based software stack. This role will play a central part in shaping the robot’s electrical architecture, owning design decisions across schematics, PCB design, and system-level integration as the platform scales to new modules and deployments.

Your Responsibilities

  • Design and review electrical schematics for actuator controllers, sensor boards, and power systems
  • Support PCB bring-up, validation, and debugging of custom electronics
  • Define and implement power distribution, grounding, and protection strategies
  • Integrate sensors (force/torque, encoders, IMUs) at the electrical and interface level
  • Debug signal integrity, EMI, and communication issues (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN)
  • Support hardware bring-up of new actuator and gripper modules

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field
  • Strong experience with schematic design and PCB development
  • Knowledge of motor drivers, power electronics, and sensor interfaces
  • Experience with communication protocols: UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet/UDP
  • Hands-on debugging skills using oscilloscope, logic analyzer, and multimeter
  • Understanding of embedded systems constraints and real-time hardware behavior

Beneficial Skills

  • Experience designing electronics for robotics or motion control systems
  • Familiarity with servo and motor control platforms (Dynamixel, ODrive, or similar)
  • Experience with safety, protection circuits, and EMC/EMI considerations
  • Exposure to ROS2-based robotic systems
