We are urgently looking to hire a talented and immediately available Electrical QA/QC Engineer – Life Safety & ELV Systems, for one of our clients, based in Ajman, UAE.
The Electrical QA/QC Engineer will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and enforcing quality control procedures specifically for Extra Low Voltage (ELV) and Life Safety systems. This role ensures that all site installations—including Fire Alarm, Emergency Lighting, and critical ELV infrastructure—comply fully with project specifications, approved shop drawings, international standards, and UAE Civil Defense codes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily site inspections of all ELV and Life Safety installations (conduits, containment, cabling, and device termination).
- Raise formal Inspection Requests (IRs) and walk the site with the Consultant/Client representative for official approvals.
- Conduct Material Receiving Inspections (MRI) to verify that delivered ELV/Fire components match approved submittals (MARs) and are free from defects.
- Identify field deviations, issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) to construction teams/subcontractors, and track corrective actions to closure.
- Implement and maintain the project Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) and Quality Control Procedures.
- Review and approve subcontractor Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and Quality records.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date quality logs, inspection registers, and progressive handover documentation.
- Monitor pre-commissioning and final testing procedures for Fire Alarm and Emergency Lighting networks.
- Ensure all testing equipment used on-site is calibrated and certified.
Requirements
Mandatory Criteria:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a highly related discipline.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of total experience working specifically with ELV and Life Safety systems in a QA/QC, testing, or construction capacity. UAE Experience for a minimum of 2 years.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of Fire Alarm Systems and Emergency Lighting Systems..
- Mobility: Ready for immediate deployment to the project site in Ajman.
Preferred / Advantageous Criteria:
- Previous experience working on Data Center projects.
