Full job description
The position sits in the municipality's Water and Wastewater Operations and Maintenance unit. Work includes maintaining stable and safe station operations, supporting electrical/automation procurement competence, quality-checking documentation and deliveries, configuring and troubleshooting wired and wireless communications equipment, operating and maintaining supervisory control systems, and supporting new and upgraded facilities.
Requirements & qualifications
The vacancy requires a trade certificate as an electrician or automation technician, good technical and systems understanding, user-level computer skills and a Class B driving licence. The employer also requires good spoken and written Norwegian and English. Familiarity with field equipment such as pressure transmitters, frequency converters and PLCs, communications infrastructure, the Machinery Directive and municipal water/wastewater systems is listed as desirable.
