Arene is a next‑generation in‑vehicle software platform designed to realize the vision of “the world’s most programmable vehicles. ” It enhances vehicle value through software, from automated driving to in‑car experiences. Arene Professional Services (APS) is a team focused on applying the Arene platform to real vehicle projects and delivering value in production environments. The team understands the complex requirements and constraints of in‑vehicle software development and supports customers in addressing their challenges beyond supporting the introduction of the Arene platform by providing project‑specific design and configuration, as well as functional extensions when necessary. Working closely with customers, partners, and Arene’s product development teams, APS drives production‑ready adoption of the platform and helps lead customers’ vehicle projects to success. Arene Professional Services connects the potential of the Arene platform with real vehicles and supports the realization of next‑generation in‑vehicle software.
We are looking for engineers who are motivated to apply the Arene platform to real vehicle projects and create value together with customers. In addition to technical expertise in in‑vehicle software development, we welcome candidates who can collaborate with customers and stakeholders to drive problem solving. Specifically, we are looking for individuals who: Have an interest in in‑vehicle software, vehicle applications, or related development platforms, and want to deliver value through application in real projects Take ownership of technical decisions and deliverables, and value building strong relationships with customers and partners Can leverage experience in system engineering or software development to proactively address customer requirements through design, configuration, and problem solving Are able to learn and grow flexibly in a fast‑paced, changing environment Daily expectations include: Actively providing constructive feedback to team members and stakeholders Positively receiving feedback as part of continuous self‑improvement Working closely with customers, partners, and Arene’s product development teams Reporting to a function lead or sub‑function lead within the team Working from the office at least three days per week (up to two days of remote work allowed)
Based on customer requirements and constraints of vehicle systems and development environments, conduct specification definition, design, implementation, and evaluation of in‑vehicle applications and features on the Arene platform Collaborate with customers to technically align and discuss specifications, functional responsibilities, and ownership boundaries of applications and features Use the Arene toolchain to implement, integrate, and verify customer‑facing applications and features Evaluate the Arene platform and related tools, and provide feedback that contributes to continuous improvement of the Arene platform
5+ years of professional experience in in-vehicle or embedded software development using C/C++ Experience developing software on Linux platforms Experience working in Agile / Scrum development environments Ability to collaborate with customers and internal/external stakeholders and proactively drive development activities Ownership mindset for quality and performance, with the initiative to work beyond one’s primary area of expertise Working‑level proficiency in English for technical communication Business‑level proficiency in Japanese (spoken and written)
Experience designing and implementing software architectures with a focus on maintainability, performance, and reliability in embedded or automotive systems Knowledge or experience with in‑vehicle operating systems such as QNX or Android Automotive OS Understanding of automotive software standards and functional safety (AUTOSAR, MISRA, CERT, ISO 26262) Experience designing or abstracting vehicle software architectures across multiple domains or generations Experience with container technologies such as Docker Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions) Experience collaborating with Japanese automotive OEMs or automotive companies Business‑level proficiency in English (spoken and written)
